In a thrift store yesterday I found this rolled up "document" in the 4th of July section entitled, "The Unanimous Declaration of the thirteen United States of America"...
Do you remember who signed the original? As this copy indicates, John Hancock, Thomas Jefferson (who wrote most of it), John Adams and good old Ben Franklin, just to name a few! This cool find will most definitely be front and center this weekend on my dining room mantle.
Oh, wow. I think I have the same thing -- picked it up for cents at the Goodwill. So I guess they aren't valuable, but they sure look cool (so why did I stick mine in some pile somewhere?). Love yours displayed on the mantle, and your planter is SO awesome, especially with the red 4. Midge
Love that red four and your document...Now, I'm thinking of some cool stuff in my classroom I need to decorate with... In 8th grade it is all about the colonial and revolutionary periods. I love studying it with the kids. Lezlee
