I'd like this one back....an "After"

I'd like to share with you some "After" pictures of a sweet vintage table that recently sold at JunkFest.  It's an "after" for two reasons.....one, per my standard m.o. there is no "before" picture! And two, it's truly an "after"thought.....as in...I'd like this one back.  Not only do I not get before shots of my projects, I rarely get staged after pictures, but this one time I was on the ball enough to put her in my living room for a few quick shots. And now that I am posting them...I realize that I wish I had kept her.

Pardon the glare in these photos...and the dog's tail in the above. :)

She was originally stained when I got her.  Since I love Miss Mustard Seed's stained/painted style, I opted to re-stain the top and paint/shabby her spindly legs.

As Lynette said in her previous post....it's all in the details.  This girl's shabby details would have worked so well in my house...

And here she is at JunkFest, before all hell broke loose, waiting patiently for her new owner...

How 'bout you?  Any furniture afterthoughts you'd like to have back?

  1. I recently found a table similar to this on the side of the road. It would look lovely done up in the same manner as you did. I love it, and I'm having a hard time deciding whether I should sell it or keep it.

  2. I also had one of these tables, it was my Grandmother's, and I gave it to my niece a couple years ago. Maybe I should have kept it ? Your pictures made me reconsider... but.... Na.... she's giving it a good home and keeping it in the family ! ! !

  5. I do have a similar table...the one and only thing I purchased at my Grandfather's estate sale years ago. (You know how you inherit traits from relatives? This grandparent was a bonified hoarder...nuff said!)

Might be time to give that table a facelift!

  7. What an adorable table! I can see why you regret selling her. Yes, I have had many items that I've sold and wished I could have kept, but I know that finding and fixing up the items and then selling them is what I try to do as a business, so can't keep everything. And, have you ever noticed that the things you want to keep sell faster than anything else? LOL! Maybe it's better that way - less painful for us. Well, you'll find another little table you love and maybe get to keep it! Hope so! Thank you for sharing - love that little stool at Junkfest too! Hugs, Leena

  8. I have a smaller, yet similar table that is all chippy. Trying to decide to take the plunge and redo it this way or not...

I had an end table that I loved and sold but really kicking myself now for not keeping it because I really do need an end table & it turned out great. I can talk myself out keeping stuff if I don't have room for it and don't want to replace anything existing.
