Today's the Day!

Online applications to vend at JunkFest are now available!  You can apply by clicking HERE!
PLEASE NOTE: In the event that the coronavirus pandemic has not been resolved by our September 12th show date, all vendor fees will be refunded in full.
Here are the details for applying!
JunkFest is a juried show. Applications are no longer first come/first served. We are currently accepting applications for authentic vintage/antique goods, and hand-made artisan vendors. This includes repurposed/up-cycled items, shabby chic, architectural salvage, rustic, primitive, farm finds, boutique, produce/farmer's market, baked goods and hand-crafted jewelry, accessories and goods.
Regarding State Tax Permits: At the present time you are NOT required to have a ND state tax permit to vend with us; however, we are required by the state to submit a list of our vendors, with their contact information and perspective tax permit #'s. If you have any questions regarding this, please the ND State Tax Commission.
When can I apply?
Online vendor forms will be made available starting today, April 1st at 8:00am. You can access the online form HERE. We suggest printing the map to get familiar with it prior to filling out your application, then have the map handy so you can refer to it while choosing your preferred areas for booth spaces. Again, these are NOT first come/first served!
In order to be considered for our show we are requiring photos of your previous booth displays and merchandise, or quality staged photos depicting your merchandise and style. While we market our show as a "flea market" we are not your typical flea market. We are looking for UNIQUE and CREATIVE booth displays with merchandise/goods that entice shoppers to visit your space.
JunkFest 2020 is going to be amazing! Won't you join us?!

It's that time of year again!!  Vendor applications for JunkFest become available online April 1st at 8:00 am!
PLEASE NOTE: In the event that the coronavirus pandemic has not been resolved by our September 12th show date, all vendor fees will be refunded in full.

When can I apply?
Online vendor forms will be made available starting Monday April 1st at 8:00am. You can access the online form directly from our Facebook page, or from right here.
Please upload 3 to 5 good quality, high resolution photos indicative of your business. These photos may also be used by JunkFest to feature you in our marketing, as time permits. If having trouble uploading pictures, you can email them to us at junkfestgirls@gmail.com. Neglecting to submit photos may delay your consideration for the show.
You will be asked if you are sharing your booth with another vendor, and if so to list their names. Multiple vendors in one space is perfectly fine, but we will need each vendor in the spot to fill out their own vendor form with contact and business information (so you are listed on the shopper's map), and each of you will need to agree to the JunkFest Terms and Conditions.
We will make every effort to accommodate your requests, but if we are unable to place you in your desired area, you will be placed where we deem the best fit.
This is going to be a stellar show!

Vendors!

Calling all junkers, artisans, and vendors of curious goods!

The 15th Annual JunkFest will be here
whether we're ready or not...before we know it!

**VENDORS, PLEASE READ THIS INFO BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE SHOW!

JunkFest is scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2019.

~~Our Friday evening event is a separate event, scheduled for September 6th and includes the JunkFest building only.  Check back here or our FB page for further information.~~

➤Please make note of the following changes:

After careful thought and deliberation, JunkFest is moving forward as a juried show.
Our decision for this move is the result of feedback from our shoppers, paired with the desire to showcase vendors and artisans in keeping with the type of event we are.  We no longer offer spaces on a "first come/first served" basis.  We are currently accepting applications for vintage/antique goods, and hand-made artisan vendors.  This includes repurposed/upcycled items, shabby chic, architectural salvage, rustic, primitive, farm finds, boutique, produce/farmer's market, baked goods and hand-crafted jewelry, accessories and goods.  Wholesale and reproduction merchandise is allowed in limited quantities only when incorporated into booth spaces with the aforementioned products.  In order to keep our "content" fresh for our shoppers, these types of vendors will be given preference over direct sales vendors.  Regardless of the type of product you sell, we encourage you to apply so that we have your information in our vendor database in the event that we can offer more space, or fill cancellations.

Online vendor forms will be made available starting
Monday April 1st at 8:00am.
At that time links for the online application can be found at
www.facebook.com/junkfest or https://junk-fest.blogspot.com .

(*NOTE, we suggest printing the map to get familiar with it prior to filling out your application, then have the map handy so you can refer to it while choosing your preferred areas for booth spaces.)

⧫⧫Once you are logged into the form you will be asked:

Name
Business Name
Address
Email
Tax ID (see more on this below)
Phone
Alternate Phone
Web Site and Facebook (if you have these PLEASE share with us!)

⧫⧫You will be asked if you are sharing your booth with another vendor, and if so to list their names.  Multiple vendors in one space is perfectly fine, but we will need each vendor in the spot to fill out their own vendor form with contact information (so we can add each of you to the shopper's map), and each of you will need to agree to the JunkFest Terms and Conditions.

⧫⧫You will be required to submit photos to be considered for our show.  These should be of your previous booth displays and merchandise or quality staged photos depicting your merchandise and style.  While we market our show as a "flea market" we are not your typical flea market.  We are looking for unique and inviting booth displays with merchandise/goods that keep our customers returning each year.  Please upload 3-5 good quality, high resolution photos indicative of your business.  These photos may also be used by JunkFest to promote your business, as time permits.  If having trouble uploading pictures, you can email them to us at junkfestgirls@gmail.com , but please do so in a timely manner after submitting your application.  Neglecting to submit photos may delay your consideration for the show.

⧫⧫You will be asked to describe your merchandise.  Please be descriptive.

⧫⧫You will then be asked to choose the AREAS you prefer, including booth size and quantity of booths.  You will have the opportunity to select your 1st, 2nd and 3rd areas of preference.  We are looking for your desired AREA only, not space numbers.  If accepted, we will make every effort to accommodate your requests, but if we are unable to place you in your desired area, you will be placed where we deem the best fit.

⧫⧫There will also be a comment box if you have a special booth request.  If you prefer to have your application mailed to you please notify us at junkfestgirls@gmail.com with your physical address.

The application will not be complete until you agree to the
Terms and Conditions, and click on "submit".

*At the present time you are NOT required to have a ND state tax permit to vend with us; however, we are required by the state to submit a list of our vendors, with their contact information and perspective tax permit numbers.  If you have any questions regarding this please check out http://nd.gov/tax.

*If you are on Facebook, please make sure to include it on your application.  You will be added to a private Facebook page for JunkFest vendors, with updates and information about the event.

**Applications will be processed every two weeks. You will be notified via email regarding your acceptance into the show.  If you are accepted as a vendor, you will receive an invoice for the spaces you have been placed in.  You have 10 days from the email date to remit payment and secure your space.  Your space may be offered to another vendor if payment is not received within those 10 days.

We have a no "rain out" refund policy.  Cancellations for any other reason accepted by August 1st ONLY if your space can be resold.

Mann Made Signs & Crafting Adventures

One of the perks of hosting JunkFest is meeting all the great shoppers from across the tri-state region (and beyond).  But what's really great about the junking business and the sale we host, is meeting the incredibly talented, artistic, and inspirational folks that are travelling great distances to help us put on a stellar show!

That category of people includes Jodi Mann, of Mann Made Signs from International Falls, MN.  Jodi is co-owner of "No Place Like Home" antiques store, and still manages to sell her hand made signs at many shops and events across ND and MN.

Like so many others, Jodi also has a FB page, where you can see some more of her work here.  All I can say is, WOW has this girl been busy!
Thanks for joining us this year Jodi....cannot wait to see your creations!!

Returning vendor Heidi Bear of Crafting Adventures brings her fun fresh mix of hand crocheted hats, cowls, blankets, and chunky necklaces.  Heidi has me longing for fall and winter just so I can snuggle up in one of these adorable hats or cowls!

Heidi also sells these accessories on Etsy, and can also be found on FB here.  Welcome back Heidi!

Today's double feature: Too cute!

Emily Steele of Burlap & Grace definitely has the corner on cute when it comes to hair accessories! Of course her living models are sweet on the eyes too!  Emily will be vending at JunkFest 2013, and rumor has it, she will also be bringing some furniture with her! Wonder if those cute models are tagging along?!
Check out her photos on FB here. You're sure to find something you like!

And if that wasn't enough cute overload for ya, take a look at these pint-sized outfits from JennaRose Doll clothes!  Shelly Corbett & Bonnie Aamot from Grand Forks will have your American Girl or Bitty Baby dressed for playtime success with their hand sewn doll clothes.  I am seriously tempted to invest in an American Girl doll myself....unless I can talk the gals into replicating some of these outfits in my size!

Whether you're a collector, junker, or just like to play with dolls, there's something for everyone at JunkFest!  Don't forget, food vendors also on sight!  And, music by Amanda Standalone and her jug band Alien Brain & the Jugular Vein!

Welcome Countryside Designs & Signs!

Have you noticed how popular typography has become? Especially when it comes to vintage decor? Along with that, vinyl decals and wall words are certainly holding their own. Karen Brandt of Countryside Signs & Designs has made an art form out of combining the two...vinyl & vintage!

Along with her home decor signs and decorated windows, Karen will also be bringing her own unique repurposed furniture, as well as vinyl clad tiles to JunkFest. Karen also has a FB page, Countryside Signs & Designs.  Stop out to JunkFest on Saturday, September 7 to help us welcome Karen!

Crooked Goods at JunkFest 2013

New to JunkFest this year is Crooked Halo Designs from Moorhead, MN. KC and husband JR started Crooked Halo last June and business has been booming ever since!
I can certainly see why!!

The Clarks upcycle old barn wood, repurpose old windows, screens & doors...and whatever other "junk" they can find into wall hangings, signs, stars, and furniture.

 ***

A-door-able!

Ok.  I've just made an executive decision....I am no longer a co-host of JunkFest....I'm going shopping instead!  See you at JunkFest?!

Oh! I'm also playing over at Jenny's today! Stop over and see how!

Simple Sunday Project

My project today happened a bit by accident. A serendipitous accident I would say.
I started with this rusted thing that I had spray poly'd some time back.

I have several glass insulators in my stash just waiting for the right job...

Throw in a metal numbered tag...also from my stash...

A tea-lite candle and a bit of skinny twine...and here's what I came up with:

It really doesn't get much easier than that!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
