There's even junk in Mexico

Something on the horizon caught my eye while I was walking on the beach in Mexico recently...It actually stopped me right in my tracks...No, you are not seeing things...there it was...a single doll leg standing upright to the heavens in the middle of the beach...all by itself.Instantly I thought it would make a great holder for my margarita on the rocks! Well, or at least a fun picture to share with you all, my fellow bloggers and junk sisters.

Yes, folks...totally serious. Not a found doll head, (which some junk lovers are crazy about decorating with - why, I have NO idea), but a LEG.
Let's face the facts: A junk girl can be resourceful anywhere, anytime. (Let's just hope some poor tourist didn't lose their lower extremity prosthetic...)!
So, what's the most "interesting" junk object you've found and what did you do with it?! Do tell.

  1. That is too funny! When we were in mexico I told DH I could do some serious junkin' there. Nothing too exciting--did buy a $2 rusty tool box today full of rusty treasures I can't wait to go through!

  2. Ha! Perfect! I am going to send my ipod to you and let you put all this cool music on it...k? Dang. I can't think. That first pic in my blog today is actually a humongous deer. Well, it is when I put antlers on its head! haha Thank you for your sweet words today. I needed that! And next time you come to Texas, stop and stay awhile. ~Mindy

  4. haha! that is funny! kinda freaky, but funny. This one has me thinking...I love to dumpster dive, so i've seen some stuff! The first thing that comes to mind though right now is...that I have a 3 legged table in my basement. It's ugly, but i'm sure i'll do something with it! right?
P.S. it's totally hiding from my husband, who will no doubt think that i've lost it!

  5. That's it. I guess I'm going to have to go to Mexico. The leg and photo are great! So glad I'm not the only one who doesn't get the doll head thing (it kind of creeps me out, actually). One interesting thing I got was an old leg of wood. It was knee-height with a metal sole. I'm sure it was a cobbler's boot form, but my kids thought it was actually an antique wooden leg and were creeped out. It was really interesting looking and I thought it would be great on a desk for sticking in pins as a memo board.
